Christine was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and spent most of her formative years on top of a plateau in a white house with green shutters. After writing some really terrible Lord of the Rings fanfiction as a teenager, she started creating her own fictional worlds after college, and she hasn’t stopped since.

Now, she lives in a rural pocket of the Pacific Northwest where the chances of uncovering portals are quite high. When she’s not writing or adventuring with her family, she pursues other creative outlets like baking sweet things and eating more than her share.

Christine is the director of the Camperdown MFA program at New Saint Andrews college. Her first two books are The Winter King (2020 Christy Awards finalist) and The Sinking City.
